What is NPC? National Panhellenic Conference. It is a conference body, made up of women's fraternities each of which is autonomous as a social, Greek-letter society of college women, undergraduates and alumnae. NPC was established to foster interfraternity relationships, to assist collegiate chapters of the NPC member groups, and to cooperate with colleges and universities in maintaining the highest scholastic and social standards. NPC is empowered to make recommendations to member fraternities, such recommendations becoming law only after ratification by the member groups. Through such recommendations have come the UNANIMOUS AGREEMENTS of the Conference: The Panhellenic Creed, Jurisdiction of Panhellenic Associations, the Panhellenic Compact, Standards of Ethical Conduct, Agreement on Extension, College Panhellenic Association Agreement, College Panhellenic Association Judicial Procedures, Agreement on Questionnaires, and NPC Declaration for Freedom.
